Happy Valentines Day!!!!

I had a fabulous Valentines Day with the loves of my life!! Ethan had a Valentines Day party at school and had a blast then we enjoyed the chocolate covered strawberries that daddy had delivered to me and for enjoyed a yummy fondue dinner, followed by a visit from Mammy and Grandaddy to give the boys more sweets!

Owen is doing SO WELL talking in complete sentences now. He can say anything he wants to say, of course he doesn't talk quite as much as Ethan (LOL!) but he is so fun to talk to now and he amazes us every day with how much he knows and all that he can do!
Ethan has 3 girlfriends now. 2 are in his class and he brought one of them a chocolate heart for Valentines Day bc he said while picking out Valentines for the class that Bailey needed something more specialer!

For a long time now, I have not had a day without wiping runny noses and FINALLY, for the first time since September both boys had clean noses so we CLEANED everything, every toy, every stuffed animal....everything I could clean in this house got cleaned and my AWESOME little helpers, helped me!

Ethan had retired from the job by the time I got the camera out, however...you see him sneaking up once he sees Owen making a bubble beard!

The boys and I have had a fun morning! We've played play doh, legos, and lots more!

Ethan with his "pet" squirrel, he's been playing with all morning, he has him tucked in a tobogan with a toy lego gun that he made for him! I told him he should be a veterinarian when he grows up bc he is always playing with animals and he said do I have to go there everyday bc I really don't like to vet on animals!

The boys helped me paint this week!! They were so cute and such great helpers. I can't tell you how many times Owen leaned against the paint or put his hands on the freshly painted walls! We got it done tho!

Stinker butt (our cat) was allowed to come down and join the family, we are giving her another chance...she's failing miserably tho! Anyway, owen is super fascinated with her and this is a picture or him trying to cover her with a blanky. As you see, she is running away fast!!

Wonderful Weekend

Friday was such a fun day! We started the morning with an awesome playdate with Mary and her girls, and our dear friend Valerie, who lives in Florida and her sweet little girl! The kids were all so sweet and they all played soooo well together and we mommies had a fun time watching them. After naps, Camden and Kyleigh came over to play, what a fun fun day?.! Saturday we went bowling with friends to celebrate Brooks' 30th birthday!

Last week, Ethan and Owen's Grandma Debbe (leon) came to visit, we went to the park and did lots of playing cars and jumping in their moon bounce while she was here.
Today, we had an awesome visit with a good friend from Miami, Valerie and her sweet girl Alyssa. Mary, Adalyn and Caroline joined also....more pics to come soon!!! Ethan has fallen hard for baby Caroline, he wanted to hold her over and over again today. he would come running to me saying I washed my hands with soap and water, so he could hold her again! So cute!! Owen wasn't as interested in the baby but he would pet her as he walked by, especially if Ethan was holding her. All the kids played so well together, we had a blast!!!
The boys have really started interacting together, they are no longer having one sided conversations when they play. Owen has become quite the motor mouth! Yesterday Ethan asked owen if he needed to go potty and owen said no, ethan replied with "Ok if you need to go potty just tell me and I will jam you on the potty!" I laughed soooo hard! Later while waiting in the carpool line for Ethan to get out of school, I turned around to see Owen licking his dirty shoe so I quickly said Owen NO and he screamed mama you scared me! That was a first, and again....cracked me up!! These boys are something special, I tell ya!

Today the boys and I ran errands and while standing in line at AC Moore, an elderly lady said hi to the boys, Owen proceeded to try to tell her a story about a kitty cat and a car from America's Funniest Home videos, (that's his new fav. show and his fav. story to tell, he mumbles all the words you can't understand and occasionally drops a word like kitty cat, car, or fall, makes sound effects and it all lasts about 5 minutes!) then Ethan showed her the paintbrushes we were getting and told her that he is painting a bird house for his mom and dad and that he has a girlfriend named Olivia that he is painting a heart for! LOL!

These boys are always keeping me entertained!

Wish me luck, I'm getting back to potty training today, after treating myself to a break at Christmas!! (I know, I know that's horrible, but we were at a very bad point in the potty training, to the point of no pee in the potty and 20 pairs of peed on pants each day! FUN FUN FUN!!!) Here we go!!!!!

Seriously, another month flew by...WOW! My goal for 2012 is to update my blog ATLEAST twice a week!
As I'm trying to do it now, Ethan's laying on me saying can we please play spiderman games!
Christmas came and went SO fast! The boys had a blast, received lots of cool gifts, gave lots of cool gifts and ate lots of yummy Christmas candy and foods!

Seriously...I cannot believe it has been a month since i updated this...sorry guys! That just goes to tell you how dang busy we've been! What an awesome time of year?.!

Before I forget...let me start with Ethan's quote of the day: I said "ethan I am freezing, are you cold? He responds, no mom, I am very intimidated with my long pants and long sleeves! Not sure what he thinks intimidated means but it gave me a good laugh!

On another note, he is doing SOOOOO much better getting dropped off at school, it took us almost 3 months, but he is finally not crying when he gets out of the car, he gives me a sad little "i'm goin to miss you mom" then gets out, he's not quite jumping and cheering yet, but Hey...we've made a major stride here!

O Bug is starting potty training, and boy if I could get him peeing in that potty, I'd be a stress free mama! He is talking like crazy, and starting to say sentences, they are choppy but he's atleast attempting! He is at such a fun stage!

We've got our christmas decor out, lots of christmas fun up ahead, we CANNOT wait! This is the best time of year, THANK YOU LORD!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fair Fun and Friends

After our busy busy week in Florida, things did not slow down when we came back home. Ethan had soccer on Saturday (he refused to play), then we went to the fair with Mammy and Grandaddy on Sunday. We also met up with Brock, Julia, Deana, Brooks and Ethan's "girlfriend", Olivia! They had a blast together on the rides! We rode the "teacup like" rides with them and they both giggled the whole time....so cute!

Yesterday I took the boys to a park to play for a while before naps which was so much fun. Everytime I take my kids somewhere with other kids, I feel like I'm the only parent who watches their kid and that my kids get pushed around by all the disobedient kids...so frustrating!!! Ethan is always the sweetest kid in a crowd. Yesterday, he was helping a little 2 yr old girl go up the big playground equipment, he was holding her hand and coaching her thru the whole process. So cute!!!!

Florida Vacation

Wow!!! What a FUN trip! We just got back from our vacation in Florida with my Aunt Barbara and Uncle Bob. While there, we visited Lego Land, the Lowry Park Zoo, Great Explorations Kids Museum, Tarpon Springs, played at the pool, and had lots of fun visiting with Aunt "Bra Bra" and Uncle Bob!

Ethan cried all the way thru the airport bc he did not want to leave Aunt Barbara. Bless his heart. He also asked me atleast 3 times on the way home if it was a school day....he still doesn't like school :(

On a happier note, Owen said his first sentence while we were in Florida. We were all eating on the beautiful screened in porch and he wanted to sit with me, he said "I sit mama!") Then later he told Aunt Barbara "I wanna sit" so he could sit in a barstool. I am such a proud mommy!

So far, we have had an exciting October with only more fun to come! Ethan's becoming a pro at riding his new bike, we are FINALLY getting over our colds. Owen is on meds for a sinus infection and double ear infections, but he seems to be feeling much better. The boys went to their first concert this weekend with Mommy, Mammy, aunt Trudy and Tiffy. On Monday, we went to visit Aunt Amber and Uncle Mickey at their new house. The boys had such a blast running with the dogs in the backyard. Ethan's teachers are telling me how much the enjoy him and that he is having a blast at school. But he is still giving me a fit in the morning about going. Tuesday, he didn't cry all morning just when they got him out of the car, so that was a little better!! Keep Praying for him!!!!

My sister reminded me today that it's been a long time since I updated......
My boys have had colds consistently for 5 weeks now....ever since preschool started!! NOT FUN!!
Let me catch you up......
Ethan has decided that he hates preschool, he throws a major tantrum when it's time to go every time. I picked him up early both days last week, to try to help with the anxiety, both days when I went in he was having a blast. Now I know he is fine, when he's there but it's still so hard to leave him when he is so upset. Let's hope this gets better real fast!
He also turned 4 this past weekend, so we had a busy busy birthday weekend! Saturday (his birthday!), we went to his soccer game, then Chick-fil-a and Marbles with his cousin Carter, then Mommy and Daddy took him to the legos store to pick his own legos and then we went out with my mom, dad, brother and dad's whole family to Kanki to celebrate Ethan and Aunt Trudy's birthdays! Sunday, for his party we went to Chuck E Cheese, all of Ethan's friends came and we had an absolute blast!! He had a spiderman party and he said he wants to have his party their every year!
Owen has gone over 24 hours now WITHOUT HIS PACIFIER!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO!!! He's saying more and more words, and trying to explain what he wants instead of just grunting.
My little guys are growing up WAY too quickly!

Today we were reading the Disney World photo book I made and while looking at a picture of the whole family with Mickey Mouse, Ethan asked, "Mom, Owen is small in comparison to Mickey Mouse in this situation, right?"

I mean, holy cow....comparison and situation in the SAME sentence!!!!!! Simply Brilliant! :)

We took the boys to Maw Maw's house last weekend, and Cameron took their fall pics! They are not the easiest kids to photograph but we got some really good pictures anyway!

Ethan had a rough time at school last Thursday, when I went to pick him up, his teacher said he did great on his work but he cried for the last 45 minutes because he missed me. Tuesday when he went back he was so nervous. He was screaming in the car that his stomach hurt and having so many anxieties, of course i cried AGAIN when I dropped him off. He's a little more excited today, so let's hope and pray for a great day at preschool!

Ethan has started his fall soccer season! His first game was Saturday and he had a blast. He is a very passive little player, he'd rather just follow the pack than get in the mix of all the pushing!! But all that matters is that he loves it and is having so much fun!

Today he woke up with a sore throat and bad cough so he couldn't go to preschool...which really bummed him out! Hopefully he will be better by Thursday so he can go! And hopefully baby brother doesn't get it!
Owen is doing so well getting to sleep on his own! I say lets go night night and he runs to his bed, we read books and I tell him I love him and he blows me a kiss as I walk out the door, sometimes he whines a little bit but by the time I close the door, he is fine! I miss holding that baby boy to get him to sleep, but I am so proud of him!

1st Day Of School

Today was Ethan's 1st day of preschool! He was SO excited!

I cried all last night and for 2 hours after I dropped him off, but he was such a trooper! He clung to my leg for about 20 minutes but then he saw a cute little blonde girl that needed help with a game and he jumped right in to help. I said I love you and he screamed I love you and I said bye and he paid no attention to me!

He got in the car and said he had so much fun and he wants to go back!

I'm such a proud mommy!

Wow, it's been a long time since I posted! This week has been insanely busy and last week was week 2 of vacation for us this year! :)
While at the beach, we got to watch a sea turtle nest get excavated. There was 1 baby turtle left in there and we were able to watch him walk to the ocean, coolest experience EVER! The boys really enjoyed it. This was the same day we visited the sea turtle hospital!

This morning I took the boys to Mammy and Grandaddy's house to visit with them, Uncle Chad, and Aunt Amber before she headed back home! Then we came home and visited with Uncle Graham!! What a fun day?.! Ethan's funny Quote of the day:

We met Mary at the mall for a brief minute (prior to going to the mall, Ethan and Daddy had been rough housing for a while...which Ethan was thoroughly enjoying!) Both boys are enjoying Owen's new big boy bed! I have to keep reminding Ethan he can't jump on it! :)

Every time I turn around Owen is back in his room, sitting on his bed....he sleeps in it REALLY well too!

Last night, Owen stayed with my mom while we took Ethan to dinner for his friend, Camden's birthday...he had a blast and so did Owen at Mammy's house!!

Today, I converted Owen's crib to a toddler bed! He loves his new big boy bed! When I say "Owen where's your big boy bed?" he runs to his room pointing saying "see see" and claps and screams yay when he gets on it!

This is him taking his first nap in his bed. Lasted about 20 minutes before he fell out of the bed...luckily I had lots of pillows there, bc i remembered how Ethan used to fall out all the time! Tonight we went out and bought a safety rail for it, so he is good to go!

Ethan also thinks this bed is so cool, he loved it when it was his bed and the feelings haven't changed! He's been playing on it and jumping off of it all day!

It's so hot outside, we've been stuck doing indoor activities! Yesterday, Owen brought me Ethan's spiderman costume to wear...so stinkin Cute!!
Owen has become quite the talker, he's not yet saying sentences but he is saying pretty much anything he wants. Today he said Olivia over and over while looking at her picture!
His big brother, loves that he's talking and they play real well together, tho that loving play can quickly turn into a brotherly fight!

We had a fun filled weekend at the beach!
Saturday morning, we took the boat out..it was Owen's 1st boat ride and he absolutely loved it! The boys rode underneath and played most of the ride, we had such a great time!

We have been so busy this summer, I've been slacking on our blog! I'm starting to really appreciate having the boys close in age, as they are now playing together. The downfall is that one minute Ethan is calling Owen "best friend" and they are running down the hall holding hands and the very next second they are screaming at each other and Owen is crying!

We enjoyed a wonderful week at the beach with our families! The weather was perfect, the boys were happy and noone got sunburnt! Ethan ate his first whole crab, rode his first water slide and played his first game of putt putt. We also enjoyed sno cones, wonderful meals, fireworks, laughs laughs and more laughs with our families! The boys also participated in a 4th of July parade! God Bless America!

Today, we got so much accomplished, we got up bright n early (thanks to Ethan waking me up at 6:15), I cleaned the boys rooms and did laundry and cooked breakfast (Ethan likes to eat bacon and scrambled eggs every day, Owen ...well he will eat anything!), then we went to story time at the library and checked out books, we then signed up for swim lessons for Ethan, dropped off clothes at goodwill (that I probably should've gotten rid of 5 years ago) and went to Target! After lunches and naps, I took the boys outside to play in the baby pool and they had a blast!!! Enjoy the pictures and video!

We hosted an Easter Egg Hunt at our house for the kids yesterday and had so much fun!
Owen is now walking pretty good. But he wasn't so sure about walking by himself outside. He still got 4 eggs!! Ethan and Olivia had a blast and got tons of eggs.

We've had a busy week! Ethan is really enjoying soccer, he doesn't necessarily go out there to win the game but he loves running around with the other kids. I'm such a proud soccer mom! Today we went with Mary and Adalyn to the Science Museum, The kids LOVED it there and I faced my biggest fear and actually touched an alligator! (It was a baby but it was still a big deal :) )
Owen is now walking!!!! He's not a pro but he will walk the distance of the hallway and then realize he did it and get scared and fall down. So I imagine in another day or 2 he will be all over the place. I feel like my baby is growing way too fast!

Yesterday, we took the boys to their first hockey game!! Owen and Adalyn even made an appearance on the jumbotron, dancing on the table!

I only got a picture of Ethan playing in the rain before the game bc he and Jesse had different seats that us, they were on the other side of the arena!

We found a new church that we LOVE, had a fun picnic at the park with Uncle Graham and Martha, took Ethan to a Snow White play with Mammy, Granny, Aunt Deana and Uncle Craig, and went to dinner at Bonefish to celebrate Brandon's birthday with my family and the Evans' and Granny! AWESOME AWESOME SUNDAY!!!

And how stinking cute is our sweet baby girl, Scout? :)

Quote of the weekend: At dinner with my parents mom starts a story with "I was so pissed...." about 5 minutes later after she is done with another story Ethan says, " You must've been so hissed!" We all laughed so hard!! Thank goodness he got hissed and not pissed out of that!

What a joy this sweet child has brought into my life this year! He lights up my life as well as everyones life who meets him!

His brother seems to think he turned 3, not 1 bc he thinks he should play with him just as he likes to be played with! These boys have many fun years ahead of them, and I will have many fun times watching them play together!

Saturday we celebrated Owens 1st birthday and Sunday we celebrated Jesse's birthday while his family was in town!

We took Scout for her first walk outside today, she just kept hiding behind the holly berry bush! But she was such a good girl and the neighbors got a kick out of our pet bunny hopping around outside!

I guess baby boy could tell how worried I was about the bottle and decided to ease my mind. He quit the bottle today. I was so proud, he all of a sudden started accepting milk from a cup and I even had to refill his cup before bed.
Not only did he drop the bottle but he put himself to sleep tonight. I held him and tried for 45 minutes while he screamed so as my last effort I put him in his crib and he was asleep within 20 seconds. He's growing up too fast on me! :(

Quote of the Day: While standing on a congested toy isle at Target, Ethan loudly says " Mom, I'm sorry that I pooted!" Nobody heard the poot, but due to his announcement now all the other families on the isle were trying to hide their laughter!

Also at Target he said "Mommy, I love Owen!" That just melts my heart!

I walked into Ethan's room catching the boys reading books!
Owen's all time favorite place to be (besides mommy's arms) is Ethan's room, he crawls in there 100 times a day. So it took almost a year but Ethan finally loves for Owen to go in his room and play with him. Owen loves any kid of figurine or matchbox cars, he will drive a car all around the house making his impression of an engine noise, just like his big brother.

Quote of the day: ( I'm driving down the road) Ethan, "Mom, can you record me a message on my phone (toy phone)?" I take the phone and record myself saying "Ethan, I looooove you!" And hand him the phone back, he listens to it twice and says "here mom record something else, I got rid of Ethan I love you because it was so boring!"

Ethan was under a little fort at the park today and a little boy entered with no shoes on and very muddy socks..
Ethan " Where are your shoes?"
Boy " I don't like to wear shoes"
Ethan "Well, that's not cool..when I go outside I put shoes on"

The kid is a hoot!!!!

Today he went to the circus with Mammy and Grandaddy and 30 minutes into it he told them he was really tired and needed to leave. They bribed him with candy and he stayed! :)
Meanwhile, Mommy and Owen had a fun shopping day and got all his 1st birthday decorations!!!
Daddy is not feeling well...mommy's also been busy lysoling the house! :)
